Can anyone tell me where so much of this year has already gone???
How can we be reordering fall clothes when we haven't even had summer yet???
I know the answer to question #2.....you will see later!
So, how about summer??? How about our new ItemZ linen shirts.....new styles.....new colors.....and lots and lots of new Stickball pins to take them over the top!!!!! We have long and short and in-between lengths in these great one-size pieces that can be great casual jackets as well as good-looking shirts. I know that some of you are getting tired of wrinkles.....so DON'T iron your linen pieces. Just wash them in cold water and then tumble dry them with NO HEAT. They will come out a little rumpled all over, but they will not get those big ugly creases, AND they will feel soft and comfortable too.
How about summer??? How about Krista Larson's casual pants and skirts and camis and shirts in cool breezy cottons and linens!!! Of course we always have the dressy princessy stuff, but we have decided that ease and comfort are as important for summer as being pretty.....so.....we can do both. All of the summer pieces play back into spring with the same color story. It is a great way to add to your wardrobe....just a few more pieces will give you so many more options....
How about summer clothes that will continue to be great into the fall??? How about the Staley Gretzinger "Signature" collection.......offering stylish scribbles along with scraps of fabric and splotches of paint on their signature slinky fabric!!!!! The stark contrast of a little bright pastel and a black background is fun and smart and dramatic all at the same time!!! We love it!!! I personally am especially fond of the asymmetric linen shirt.....it will even make one great-looking cover-up for the beach (behind huge black sunglasses, of course!).
Okay, so now you have to bear with me because this is so out of character that I can still hardly believe we have these.........Siga and I have a friend that we have known since before forever, and when we ran into him at the New York shows and asked what he is doing now, he pointed at (UGH!!!) a wall full of really hideous, mostly bright polyester pants and those old style tie in the front blouses that Beaver's mother might have worn were she a little more hip. What does one say when one's friend sells stuff like that??? If one is married to a really nice man, one buys the basic black pants in long and cropped and capri lengths, that's what. And do you know what??? He was right again. So many of you have been wanting the slim pants that none of our other designers have.....well these are really great looking!!! And they fit great!!! AND, they go in the washer and the dryer and on your body.....they are indestructible. They come in sizes (SIZES???) 4 to 14. Krazy Larry.....not so crazy pants.
(Ray Harris loves the fact that I call him several times a week to order the crinkled polyester pieces that I didn't even want to look at a couple of years ago and I now even wear myself!!!)
Answer to question #2....
We sell fall things all the time. We are going to show you some fall things now because we will not have them then. These are special limited edition pieces that we are lucky to have.....
Viktoria Chulay designs some of the prettiest handbags we have ever seen. They are designed in her studio in Woodside and made in Northern California . Occasionally we also try one of her drop-dead jackets......and this is one. One was sold right out of the box, and we have one in stock and we will be getting the last two she has fabric to make. This beautiful jacket has leather pockets and trimming that make it even more elegant worn with the matching bag!!!!!
AND.....you have heard me mention one-of-a-kind vests by Marsha. Now you get to see one. It is like Christmas to open a shipment from Marsha because what comes out of the box is always a surprise!!! She makes each piece from sweaters that she finds at the Goodwill or Salvation Army stores. Each sweater is washed and felted and deconstructed and reconstructed into some amazingly imaginative work of art. We have new pieces coming as others go.....often worn out of the store for that immediate gratification that we so love.
We have a store PACKED with fun clothes.....so many that I am thinking about making the upstairs stockroom into an "annex" if I can clean it up and make it pretty. You can ask.....
We have lots of great accessories too....among the newest.
Lots and lots of Stickball pins.......
Linen flower pins with whimsical elements from Debbie Webb.
A bumper crop of glitter fruit pins....apples, pears, dragon fruit, limes, lemons, and regular and blood oranges. These are show-stoppers!!!
New necklaces from Jill Schwartz.
SO.....it's time to call or come to visit. Siga is on his way to Fiji, so I would love to have the company. (I know, he's the cute one, but I can be funny!!!) AND we will have a good time, for sure!
I'm waiting...........
love you bunches!!!
