"Why??" you ask, "Is this a very, VERY Early July Newsletter?????" Well, there are just too many wonderful things to put into a "June and a-Half" letter, and I certainly can't wait any longer to show them to you!!!!!

I don't even know where to start!!!.....

....but of course I can pick a place......

How about all of the new colors in our favorite Ray Harris dress of all time (all time being about two years now)????? You all know how much we love the orange.....we have brought it back for the third time ....and now we have added two new shades of green and bright purple and black!!!!! We have accessorized these dresses with some of our new jewelry to add even more drama. (And, if you don't like these colors, we have about twenty more colors that we can special order for you!!!!!)

A one and only, from Ray Harris too, is this spectacular pleated white cotton blend shirt. There will be a couple of other styles in the weeks to come.....we just couldn't wait.......

Another of our big loves is Lynn Mizono's "manuscript blouse" with its many-layered collar. This time we are bringing you a subtly striped silk taffeta with a tiny bit of metal that enables you to manipulate the collar......crunch it up like we have here. We, of course, also have the white snowflake poly and the black crush (the one that is so sexy that people will think you carry a whip and handcuffs in your glove compartment!). This blouse is also great worn as a jacket, as I often wear mine.....

Anya is the BEST at bringing us a constantly changing collection of her signature tee shirts. And, yes, I have learned to buy them in all sizes from small through extra-large!!! Everybody seems to love, and many of you seem to collect, Anya's many different patterns.....

Giselle Shepatin brings her wonderful velvet calla lilies and silk roses from her velvet collection to this "you'll want to wear it everywhere" wool jacket. The short length makes it perfect to go with your favorite pair of pants. We also have some gorgeous new woven scarves from Giselle.....each a sampling of different fibers and weaves with special fringed edges.

Many of you are traveling to some pretty great places this summer (but I like you anyway!) and what more perfect thing to travel with than a reversible, packable MycraPac raincoat. These do not say "raincoat" like so many practical ones do, but are more of a useful fashion piece that can be worn from day into a fairly dressed-up evening. The pleated collar can also be used as a hood. We have a new tone-to-tone cire fabric that comes in chocolate/caramel, grape, or smoke. We also have our favorite bronze/black and green/black in the signature microfiber. If you are as good a folder as I am, there will be room in its carry-bag for a paperback book and a sinful treat.........

We are getting in a small new collection from Blanque in a couple of weeks, but we just could not wait to get our re-order of the Marbella Pant, their newest pant that we just can't seem to keep in stock. We have all sizes in the matte crepe. Do you have yours yet?????

And, I must confess that I have saved my very favorite of the new things for last because these Catherine Bacon pieces take my breath away!!!!! What Catherine has done with skirts this season is beyond my wildest hopes and imagination. I have asked our very creative (and the BEST) web designer to take extra photos so that you can see all of the fabulous detail work that goes into these pieces. The big rose skirt is also available in all black, but here we are showing the ones with the plaid flowers. I have made a presentation with each so that you can appreciate the accessories. The rust plaid flower skirt is shown with a simple black top and Catherine's special felted vest. The green plaid flower skirt is shown with the reversible plaid wrap belt (the other side being the rust plaid), and attached to the belt buttons is the gold ball scarf (which can also be worn as a scarf). Now, I ask you, just how much fun can we have playing with our clothes?!?!?! The plaid button-pocket skirt can be worn short or long or otherwise creatively combined. Beautiful, beautiful.........

Now, I am not sure that all of you know this, but, with the exception of Ray Harris, which is from London, all of the other clothes that we are featuring in this newsletter are made right here in California!!! Blanque comes from Southern California, and all of the rest are from the San Francisco area. We pride ourselves in knowing who makes the clothing that we sell, and we only buy from people whom we know pay fair wages.

Another California artist, Susan Lewis, has been making us those whimsical, colorful, fabulous potholders featuring people and pets for the last fifteen years. Susan is an amazingly creative artist whose talents we are always trying to expand. Last year we started with an adorable child's dress. The dress was so exceptional that we ordered a couple more.....and a couple more in both small and medium sizes.....and soon we will be featuring "The Gardener", our first adult-size sundress!!!! Thank you, Ann!!!!! Susan will custom make any dress with artwork or a theme of your choice........

.....and beautiful, if not clothes..............

We have just gotten in a new collection of our fabulous French dish towels. These colors and patterns are so rich and beautiful that you will want to display rather than actually use them, but they wear well and are affordable enough that just Saturday my brother bought one each of the thirteen styles!!!!!!!!!!! These make great gifts too.......

*****You probably know that while I am not really oblivious to the state of the world around us, I am a firm believer in moving ahead, one foot in front of the other, because I always believe that things are going to be okay if we do everything we can to make them that way. So that makes me a person who hates to bring up the ugly stuff.....but, shipping costs have gotten ugly. We have changed shippers a couple of times now, and we are still unsatisfied with what they offer for what they charge. So, right now we are shipping everything what we consider the "best way". We are sorry that we are going to have to charge more for shipping and insurance, but......*****

Okay, no more icky stuff.

Siga and I are taking the opportunity for a long weekend and are planning to be closed the 4th, 5th, and 6th of July. Please voice any objections now or forever.......You know that if that is when you are planning to come see us, we will act like grown-ups and be there for you.....

Hope you are going to have a great summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love you (really, really!) bunches,

kati
