Boy! I love that some of you missed the June newsletter (the newsletter that wasn't!). All of our new things came in so scattered during the whole month that it was impossible to get it together!!!!!!!............

But NOW.........

I am a SUMMER person.....I could happily run around in white all year long! I am also a huge fan of cotton......so now, I am HUGELY happy because we have a store full of SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those of you who live in a hot climate or are going on a warm weather vacation can fall in love with what we have from Krista Larson and Robin Kaplan........

Because we always show the many (sometimes MANY ) layered looks, I have included something more pared down as well so that you can see how these clothes can really work for ANYONE...........

Krista Larson's Scroll Dress is cool in black cotton broadcloth.....all by itself, or with something like the plaid cotton Wavey Pants underneath. Simple? Cute? EASY!!! And, the Teresa Goodall necklace we show with it can be worn with so many other summer things....

For a little versatility, we have a Pixie Bleu Vintage reversible skirt (black print on off-white on the other side), which we have teamed here with a polka dot cotton Short Wavey Slip, the delicious white cotton Bakery Cami, and a reversible Stretch Tulle Tee. The Diana Frey necklace doesn't exactly hurt the outfit either........

And while we are into reversible........over the black cotton broadcloth Tornado Skirt, we have the Bubble Skirt in charcoal/gray stripe, reversing to a slimmer black cotton skirt that has a striped bubble ruffle at the hem!!! We have been selling this stripe throughout the season, and now we are thrilled that it has a companion polka dot!!!!! So, the next layer is the soutache organza Short Wavey Slip, followed by the (SIGH!!!) black/gray polka dot Bakery Cami.......All this over the reversible Stretch Tulle Tee. A simple necklace like the circles on wire is all this needs.....if indeed anything.....

Do you get how much we LOVE black and white.....

Go to town in this happy dotted Emma Jacket with its huge matching flower pin......The ethereal white organdy Short Wavey Slip is layered over a vintage-looking cotton eyelet Bubble Skirt and a pair of Pixie Bleu Vintage linen pants.

....and this is just a little of what we have in Krista cotton!!!!! We have a fabulous selection of your favorite styles.....the Bakery Cami, the Emma Shirt, the Emma Jacket, the Tornado Skirt, the Bubble Skirt, the Short Wavey Slip.........AND our favorite summer cottons....cotton broadcloth in black and white, plaid, stripes, polka dots in white on black or charcoal on black, and solid cotton organdy. It can't get much better than this!!!...............

Before I even start on the new Robin Kaplan....We are really excited to have a reorder of the lace trimmed linen tank in both desert and verdigris.....AND, white ones she made especially for us!!!!!!!

Our over-the-top Robin Kaplan outfit shows how you don't even have to pack much for your vacation.....you can wear half of your wardrobe and just pack the fill-in pieces -- there is so much potential here!!!!! This new color is desert, but I have put in a splash of verdigris just because I like it.......We start with the Tulle Bottom Voile Skirt, layer on a light silk Petal Skirt, tie the Organza Wrap Skirt over that, then the charmeuse Silk Tee, THEN the Lace Trim Tank, all topped with the Wool Lace Cardigan. WHEW!!!! The Sarah Cavender necklace highlights the splash of verdigris.......

You meet a lot of people when you dress up pretty....at the gas station, at the supermarket, at the theater, at a fine restaurant.......at a rodeo! It makes your life so amusing.......I would tell you about one of my own recent experiences, but it would involve admitting that I actually ate at.....someplace I wouldn't admit.......

On to more clothes.....

I promised you some combinations of different designers' work.....

Robin's new desert tones blend beautifully with Krista's lavender......the iridescent shades of lavender in Krista's acetate Long Picket Fence Slip shine under her soutache Short Wavey Slip, which we have teamed with Robin's Mesh Tee with Lace. Diana Frey's necklaces just go with everything!!!!!!!

I can't remember the name of the color of this shimmery charmeuse Silk Tee of Robin's.....but shades of her fabric are twined into Diana Frey's spectacular collage necklace......and how perfect are they with our Catherine Bacon skirt with the gorgeous flower at the hem??????

The last put-together is a product of my wanting to play around with the old display dummy in the stockroom.....It's almost like dressing real people, just short on conversation.....Here goes.....from the bottom up.....Krista's silk organza/acetate Simple Skirt in bark, Robin's verdigris Tulle Bottom Voile Skirt, a verdigris knotted taffeta Petal Skirt (pulled up), a bark sequined taffeta Venetian Cami, a verdigris shrug, AND a multi-toned knotted silk scarf!!!!!!

Let us not forget the sexy little tulle and ribbon wristlets that Robin makes to match each collection..............

Ray Harris continues to shine as one of our favorite designers!!! We have sold out several of his fall (yes, I said FALL!!!) designs already and have had to order more, but here we are showing you two bright summery shades of the double hem band (or as I call it the "princess") dress that we have just received again. I personally own the bright purple one, here shown with a hand-blown glass necklace by Israeli designer Ronit Dagan. The orange dress is the color that Siga originally bought for me when I said the dress was too outrageous to sell.......I kept letting so many of you try mine on who ordered them that Ray just laughs at how well we sell the "unsalable".......The Teresa Goodall necklace suits the dress with its many disparate elements. We also do have this dress in black....It's a great little packer that will make you the belle of the ball......or whatever. Just remember.....Ray has about thirty different colors available in any of his pleated designs!

Our Elisabethan recycled tees were such a big hit that it has been hard to wait for new ones to arrive, but they finally have. You are seeing a sampling of some of our new patterns. Each tee is one-of-a-kind.....it's really fun just to look at each of the elements and to read what some of them have to say. I have a hard time imagining how they cut apart and reassemble these pieces with such cleverness and whimsy.......must be as much fun as thinking up names for lipstick or nail polish.....

Call me soon if you are interested and you can't come in....I will TRY to describe ones in your size!!!

We have not been able to put this new Barbara de Jounge sweater out, ever, because it just sells out of the box. The zipper zips both front and back, and even the pocket really zips off! We are showing it here with a Krista Larson double layer Stretch Tulle Tee so that you can see the openings at the shoulders and elbows....fun to show color....fun to show skin....This sweater can go through the seasons with different pieces layered underneath. Debbie Tuck's apple pins are the perfect accent here.....

This Giselle Shepatin jacket is my all-time favorite! It is wool melton with silk and velvet flowers....she calls them "bells", but I think they are better than that and call them "snow flowers", which I imagine from sometime in my early childhood. They are just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I joke around that we sell this 24 months of the year because we try to always have it in stock. Those of you who have them know how much more you wear them than you ever would have thought.....

Socks! Socks! SOCKS!!!! We have a fabulous collection of Sox Trot socks, AND my friend Sarah and I bought about a gazillion more new patterns at the last show. Sox Trot closes down for the month of July so that everyone can take a vacation....but, lucky us, our order was produced before the closing! By the time you get this, we will get those!!!!!

I love it when artists walk though our door who create things for us to love!!! Lately, we have been VERY happy........

Sally Jean's charms had, until now, been wonderful presents that my friend Kat has been giving me for the last year. I wear several of them most days on various lengths of chains. I adore them!!!! How nice for me when Sally Jean walks into our shop and tells me that she made what I am wearing. They are too small, and way too numerous, to show here, but you will adore them too. There is something for everybody....

Sally Jean's friend Bonnie Taylor Talbot paints very whimsical, very girlie, dresses... perfume bottles... chairs... chickens...cakes....you get the picture. We are happy to have our first collection of her limited edition prints. They bring "happy" to any room.

We are also expecting a collection of prints from British artist Kirsten Jones.....we loved her artwork as much as she loved our clothes.

....and, of course, there's lots and lots of other stuff.......

The gallery is stuffed and ready for summer, as are we.

We hope that all of you are weathering the storm, which we are aware is a hurricane for some. We are happy to be here with the continued support and enthusiasm of our audience!

We look forward to seeing or hearing from you.......

XOXOXO.......
