So.....have you perhaps been wondering if the October newsletter was ever going to come??? Well, I was ready early for this one, and then Murphy's Law struck with a vengeance, and everything that could be wrong was!!! Not one to complain, we just kept on going until something came in right!.!.!.....

You can see from the photographs ( if you get this on e-mail .... hint .... hint). that Krista Larson seldom goes wrong. The only fault might be mine in not buying enough of this holiday collection….. Holiday is all about velvet and sparkles!!! Since we loved Krista's fall colors, we brought them forward into the new collection. How pretty are velvet and sparkles in Blue Granite, River Rock, and Black?!?!?! Pretty pretty.....

Most of you are familiar with my philosophy that it is really good to look pretty every day, and you can start doing that immediately with all of the Krista pieces that we have in stock! We have linens and cottons as well as silks and velvets, but the dressiest pieces are easy to incorporate into your everyday life. Yeah! Yeah! I know that SOME of you don't believe that yet, but we will show you how. After all, many of you do see us vacuum and dust and haul out the trash in our very wearable fairy clothes …..

Oh! You can wear Krista fancy places too …..

Nice to mix with Krista, or just about anything else, we have a new version of our Bodil black velvet ruffle bottom pant!

So many of you love our multi-collar blouse from Lynn Mizono that we are trying it out in new fabrics and reordering the favorites. We have white Italian crinkle polyester, iridescent green Italian metallic, and a cotton/lycra fabric that is white with black polka dots or black with white ones. We especially like these with her pinstripe trouser a la Katherine Hepburn (see what I mean below)!!!

For those of you who happen to have a perfect body (bottom half!) we have a rather spectacular skirt from Annette Gortz. It is black, of course, and made of tulle that hangs long over a short and skinny black knit. The tulle can be pulled up to different levels with elastic pulls! Anyway, it's a statement.

We do have some pieces still of the smallish brown and orange Blanque group and of the Mad Lab Patch Happy collection. (This is the Murphy's Law part!)

Now, we do have some rather fabulous accessories……………..

Our mesh evening bags have been so popular that we keep reordering our favorite ones and trying new ones. We also just got in a beautiful selection of mesh snap cuff bracelets from these same very talented artists.

Speaking of talented artists!!!!! Marcia DeCoster creates some of the most wonderful little bags that can be worn as accessories with most of our clothes. Half of the first group has already run out of here, and more are on the way. Marcia felts wool with some beautiful textures and rich colors that she then trims with some extraordinary beads (which she also creates herself) or dramatic felted flowers that can be removed and worn as pins. Does it sound like I love these, or what???

It was very much fun to be in Giselle Shepatin's new studio and to let my fingers do the walking through her bins of rich and colorful hand woven scarves! Each scarf is a small masterpiece exploding with color and texture and shine…… We also have a nice selection of her silk and velvet ones with roses or sequin-filled bubbles…..

I have noticed that some of you are collecting different sizes and textures of Rina Young's spiral/curly silver necklaces and bracelets…..which also go with just about anything. We have just gotten a case full of new ones!

New creepy crawlers, and some pretty things, and an adorable mouse with a long tail.....these must be more and new ceramic pins by Cynthia Chuang!

We seemed to have cornered that market on socks! I think we have about a million (or MORE) socks in all different lengths from Ozone and a few fun socks from Lilith. So what? So.....Sandy and I ordered about two hundred more in some great prints from Sox Trot that should be here any day.....

That's about the new stuff, but we also have a lot of great stuff that is already here before.....

We are getting ready for the holidays now. It is going to be a great season if we can ever figure out where we are going to put everything!?!?!? Bob, our UPS guy, was great enough to put our Christmas tree (the GIANT one with the striped green socks and the gold high-heeled shoes) up in our stockroom before I could see how big it is when it is in a smaller space than a warehouse!!!! THAT'S what Brown can do for you…..

Please remember that we have gift pages that you can use if you have holiday gifts to buy or hints to drop. We are always happy to gift wrap and ship anywhere and to help you choose that perfect something…..

Siga and I had a great trip to New York in September…..but it is a little too early to talk about spring!!!!!

Come on in and play with us soon!!!!!!!!!

Bunch of hugs...........
