Well, I guess we all have a lot to be excited about now!!!.....

Siga and I are always excited about something, and sometimes about a lot of things. Right now, we are happily looking forward to our sixteenth birthday...we opened on the day after Thanksgiving in 1992! We have had so much fun doing this that the time has flown by.....

We want to thank all of you who have supported us and encouraged us and made us laugh (or cry) with you over the years. As much as we love "playing store", we love knowing and sharing parts of our lives with you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!

...and, of course, we are excited once again by new stuff.....

Robin Kaplan has brought a whole new dimension to our store. Her collection seems to work for just about everybody in some way. The styles are fluid, the fabrics sensuous, and the hand-dyed colors both earthy and feminine. We also love the fact that these pieces come in SIZES, so that we can actually fit those of you who are small!!! Our present collection comes in Safari and Jet, with a sprinkling of other colors to match or contrast. AND, when Robin visited us a couple of weeks ago, she brought us some special one-of-a-kind pieces to spice up the presentation (the acid green sweater and tulle skirt being a couple of those pieces!). The possibilities are fabulous. We also have the perfect accessories both from her and also from Diana Frey and Giselle Shepatin.

...I love having so much cool stuff that I don't know what comes next!....

Well, since it's finally getting cool, how about some Krista Larson coats? We have two favorites (those of you who get the Krista letter every Wednesday already know about these...) -- the Breezy Coat with its big oversized pockets and the Dali Coat with drawstrings to pull up the sleeves and to pull in the waist. We have them in several different fabrics...for accessories or for coziness. Our other great piece that we just got in again is the Buton Jacket with its many and varied buttons (yes, it is the Buton Jacket...spell check is going crazy with that name!). We are showing it here in both velvet and in linen/cotton damask. We have paired the damask one with the same fabric in the Origami Pant. The Origami Pant has a wonderful whimsical shape with all of the seams on the outside. Some of us have these in several fabrics, and more are on the way.....Our Krista Larson collection is at its peak for the fall and holiday seasons!!!

"Pretty" next or "fun and comfy"?

Okay, "comfy" wins! This partly because Marsha Theis and her husband make these fabulous caramels in the fall that they put in the bottom of the shipping box.....NOT that her vests aren't even better......We had just finished taking all of the photos for this newsletter when her latest box arrived, and what came out of that box was just too good not to show you. So, my Wonderful Web Designer went back to work again....These new ones are all a fairly large size, but she is working on some smaller ones as I write this....These vests are just perfect for running around during the chilly autumn weather and meeting all of the new people who are going to stop you to talk about yours!!!

Now we do "pretty", although Giselle Shepatin's new velvet top deserves much more elaborate adjectives. The shape is familiar, but the trim!!!!!! I cannot imagine how she thinks up these things, but we have these variegated silk ribbon ruffles sewn onto cotton tulle! It is really, really amazing. And...She has left the side of the sleeve trimming open so that you can just cut it if you need to make the sleeve shorter...Brilliant!!! We also have Giselle's wool melton jackets with velvet snow flowers and bunches of her silk or velvet scarves.

Everybody loves ItemZ! Chris Baumgartner's new designs are made from different textures of silk with a tad bit of lycra. They are available as you see them in ivory or black, one size fitting most.....

How about accessories???........

Diana Frey has designed some new jewelry pieces to go with our Robin Kaplan designs, and they seem to work with a lot of other things too. Each one-of-a-kind piece is a timeless treasure to collect and wear. I have a couple of her most simple pieces, and I cannot tell you how many compliments I receive when I wear them...

Susan Riedweg's new collection has begun to arrive. The first two leathers that we have both in purses and cosmetic bags are the kiwi salmon skin and the shiny crinkled silver.

Stunning is probably the best way to describe Ray Harris' double hem band dress. We have it in purple and fern and olive....and, for the first time, we actually have a couple of black ones!! We always special order the black ones so that they are gone when they arrive. Now we love having them to accessorize with Petrushka's special one-of-a-kind scarves and shawls. We have lots of other pretty Ray things too...

Okay, most of you know that computers are not my friend???!!! Well, that Ray Harris piece was supposed to be after Giselle Shepatin, and I don't know what I did to make it be down here, and I really don't know how to put it in the right place.............

...back to accessories....

We are back in the really creepy bug business with some hairy new monster bugs from Cynthia Chuang. These ceramic pins have been around as long as we have, and we continue having customers collect them...

Our new French gloves have pretty cuff trimmings to keep your hands intriguing

as well as warm. These make wonderful holiday gifts for other people too!

We are ready for the fall and the holiday festivities to come. Siga and I have been working like two little trolls beautifying everything. We have wonderful clothes and accessories for you, fun stuff to splash around your house (Susan Lewis' new people potholders are over-the-top!) and presents for everybody!!!

We are looking forward to seeing you during the season...at least come by to say "HI”!!!

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!
