So here we begin the fall and winter holiday season........isn't Halloween just the most fun???

.......and so here come more fall and holiday clothes and accessories too......

It's really hard to decide what should go first here because the new velvet pieces are all so beautiful.....hmmmmmm......

I guess, since it came first, Giselle Shepatin can be first.....

You know that we have Giselle's velvets every holiday season....actually, we keep some of the pieces in stock most of the year. The snow flowers that she created this season are the prettiest flowers I can remember ever having, and now she has taken them even farther by adding two new color combinations.....paprika with touches of burgundy....and this beautiful green with touches of soft turquoise. I actually told Giselle she could just surprise me with new colors and to put one on the tops and the other on the vests. Opening the box was a total delight!!!!! We have both long and short tops and both lengths in the vests as well. We have bought some of each in different sizes....and they can each be ordered in sizes extra-small through extra-large.... In a couple of weeks, we are expecting to have her fabulous wool jackets with new colors as well.....

Sorry....I had to take a little break there to open my precious little box of new Sally Jean charms.....and a brand new collection of her "party girls" (the little white dolls from the 1800's with the silver party hats that you have seen featured as accessories on some of our recent outfits.)....and lots of new "princesses" too......

The Krista velvets are drop dead gorgeous!!!!! Since everything is black, it is a little difficult to capture how beautiful the detail work is on them. I, of course, think of these pieces as what I am going to live in through the fall and winter....but you can wear them for special occasions too!!! The Soutache Jacket was one of our most popular new designs this fall, and it is rather breathtaking to see it here in velvet with silk taffeta details....The Bakery pieces have amazing detail work too....so good that we have Bakery Slips, Camis, Skirts, and Pants!!!!!!!! Velvet done in simple clean lines is elegant and sophisticated....the Moth Jacket....the Origami Pant....the Bubble Skirt. We have a lovely group of Stretch Net Tees and lots of taffeta and linen/cotton/metal pieces to mix with the velvets to add that textural interest. We do have limited pieces in each style, so......

Robin Kaplan was nice enough to rush us a reorder of her fabulous Lace Fiesta Skirt and Lace Trimmed Tank in the pewter color we so love. You are also getting to see the new Sweet Wool Sweater with its exquisite lace-trimmed cuffs.

Robin has a variety of sweaters that are nice not only with her collection, but also as separate pieces to mix with other things......

Our first new raincoats are all about polka dots....the happy print. They are the MycraPac reversible coats that pack into their own bags, AND they are made right here in San Francisco ! The all-black with the velvet dots reverses to plain black, as does the printed red dot on black. These are the perfect travel coat that will take you anywhere throughout the year.....

The Gillian Julius necklaces have finally arrived.....we have been waiting a long time for these. They are on multi strands of string with silver nuggets above a ring with a heart and ball. The strings come in different colors, all with silver plate charms. The heart bracelet is a piece to wear every day as a signature piece.....

NOW....I sometimes wonder why I go to shows when so many truly fabulous things just walk in our door?????

A few months ago, a customer walked into the gallery wearing this wonderful little dog pin that was made of felt on her jacket. I kept following her around because I was so taken with this charming dog face. Eventually I overcame my shyness and asked her where she found it. Well, she told me she had gotten it in England and that it was the work of a British artist. Having the name, I was able to find her (yes, on the internet!!!) She had since moved to France ...... SO....how fabulous are these dog pins????? .....and she even made each dog its own individual box!!!

Then there is Louise Loewenstein, who happened in wearing a necklace that Siga was on top of in seconds....it was silver and black and sculptural and sophisticated and.......you are seeing the first of her designs that are all made of zipper pulls!!!!! We had a lot of fun with Louise because we got to see her on three different days, and getting to know her and her work was an enlightening experience. She was able to leave us this much while she was here, and she will be working on getting us the rest of our collection soon.....

Those girls at Elisabethan just keep on coming up with new ideas.....this time it is comfy hats and whimsical pins made, as always, of recycled materials. Along with their hand-warmers, we have a great selection of possible interesting and unique holiday gifts????

.....and since we will be bidding adieu to Halloween this weekend.....IT MUST BE TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes!!!! The holidays are so much closer than we think......We are stocking up on fun, unusual, and our usual quirky gifts for the season......

Our holiday characters from Woof and Poof (made in Chico, California for YEARS) this year include new "winter girls", polar bears, characters from "The Nutcracker", and, yes, even a couple of new versions of good old Santa Claus.

.....so now I have to go put price tags on all of my new Sally Jean charms. Maybe my friend Sarah will help me do that.........

Siga and I hope that all is well with you....and that we will get to see or hear from you soon!!!!!

Lots of Love.....
