Happy Holidays to you...and to those you love...from Siga and me!!!!!
...and, since this is the last newsletter of this year, we wish you all good things in the challenging new year ahead. We will be here doing what we have always done.....trying to bring you the new, the unusual, the whimsical....the stuff that makes you feel good and puts a smile on your face. And we always appreciate your support in helping us do just that!
So....Siga is gone for a couple of weeks, and he left his laptop behind for me so that I could write this newsletter. Well.....as much as I hate to ruin my reputation, I have been looking at THINGS!!!!! This does not mean that I actually like the computer or anything..........
Have you seen our gift pages??? I hadn't until the other day, and they are rather FABULOUS!!! I had given our WWD new items to do an updated version, and she has outdone herself yet again. You might want to peruse them to see if you find gifts for those on your shopping list....or for you!? We have put prices on each item so that you can see that we actually have cute presents for $6 and in between to a lot more....cute stuff for everybody. We are happy to ship anywhere and to gift wrap on request. Gift wrap is always pretty and free.....NO! shipping isn't (you get a beat-up, recycled box and pay for shipping and insurance).....after all.....we do want to stay in business!!!
Then we have some great new things for you.....
Robin Kaplan continues to amaze us in how nicely it works for so many of you. The things I hear most often are that the clothes are SO feminine and that they make you feel so sexy (in a very nice way!). Our two new colors are Russet and Leaf. As much as we love to show them monochromatically, we also have fun playing with color and fabric mixes because nothing seems to look wrong. We are accessorizing these new outfits with Diana Frey jewelry and Giselle Shepatin scarves.....they just FEEL like they belong together. Again, as with so many of our collections, just one piece is nice too..... We also have other colors to mix...a nice selection of Safari and Jet.....
Some of you have been asking about when we would be getting new casual pieces from Blanque. THEY'RE HERE!!! We have Blanque's very, very popular ponti knits. We have the pants and the tops in black or heather gray, and, because I can never resist this color, we have the split cowl top in citrus. The other new pieces are the cotton crush shirts....both the regular and the cropped Francis Shirts in both black and white with really pretty ribbon and button trim on the placket. We have taken close-up photos so that you can appreciate the detail.....
Whatever your figure (unless you are very vertically challenged or skipped Thanksgiving dinner)....even if you have 50, 60, 70 pounds to lose....Ray Harris' balloon dress and swing jacket will look spectacular on you!!! The drama of the dress with the pencil thin bottom and the swing of jacket are perfectly suited to one another. Being made of pleated polyester, these pieces love to travel in a twisted up ball. AND, while we have it shown in olive and flame, there are about twenty-five other colors you may choose to special order. We have many other goodies from Ray, including a couple of gorgeous sparkly pieces made from a fabric I cannot begin to describe!!!
We have accessorized Ray's dresses with elegant mixed pearl ropes by Ellie Fraenkel and Dorothy Taylor from San Francisco , and with a hand-blown glass collar by Ronit Dagan from Israel . (I love that this necklace tinkles like wind chimes when you handle it!!!)
Boy! am I glad I mentioned those fabulous caramels in my last newsletter! The two new Marsha vests in this newsletter were accompanied by another bagful!!! These vests just keep getting better and better.....and the time to be wearing them is NOW!!! They are that WOW! accessory for fall's casual pants and tops and boots and knee-his and.....
We love the new designs on our Nancy Lucia bags! I gave one of these to my sister-in-law for her birthday, and I don't think I have ever seen her without it again! These little bags are handy for carrying what you really need on the run. Made of soft Italian leather, the artwork is all done in New York . A treat for you or someone else.....?
