Happy holiday frenzy to all!!!! I am trying something different tonight...... First Siga and I walked to our car by way of Union Square to see all of the holiday shoppers... some enjoying the beautiful tree, some watching the ice skaters, some waiting for the artist to shape their favorite balloon animals, and others waiting in line to take their picture with the guy all lit up like a giant holiday angel. That put me in the perfect mood to write this newsletter at home.... while enjoying one of Siga's spectacular cocktails.....

So.... I love the holidays and all of the lovely people who come to the city for a few days to spend time with good friends, enjoy the theater, eat their way through town, and go shopping. Everyone who comes to see us seems to be in such a festive mood!!!! I especially enjoy my Sundays with my friend Doreen...... people know we are never open on Sundays during the year, and there is a special feeling to the day.....

Our holiday Woof and Poof characters have arrived. We love them because they are really festive and cute..... and because they are made right here in California.... Our polar bear girl and boy are all dressed up and ready to be adopted. I pride myself on my knowledge of animals, but I always seem to think that these are really adorable little dogs.... I guess the old saying must be true...."one girl's polar bear is another girl's...."

More and more Krista Larson ruby pieces have arrived!!!! Yes, all of those polka dot ruffles are attached to the bottom of that Cupcake Slip!!!! We have layered a thready organza Short Cotton Ball Slip and a giant polka dot Venetian Cami over it and wrapped it all up with a red flower garland necklace from Vivena! I have this in our holiday window for everyone to love......

Please notice that we use the Double Layer Stretch Tulle Tee under just about everything......

There are so many fabrics to love in this collection...... like the check taffeta of this Short Wavey Slip that is layered over a ruby taffeta Cotton Ball Skirt. We layer a thready organza Cyclone Cami over it all and finish it off with a Love Heals necklace......

All of these dots are going to go so frivolously into the spring..... the giant dot Tornado Skirt under the thready organza Parachute Slip under the medium dot Venetian Cami...... with more Vivena! flowers.....

Vivena is with us every Thursday until Christmas doing a little trunk show with her wonderful felted flowers, hats and scarves. She is a lot of fun, and you will really enjoying chatting with her and letting her work her magic...... from 11 until 5....

NOW.... you know that we have a lot more Krista..... but we are going to go with COLORS first......

COLOR is an understatement in my favorite (I own this very one!!!) Ray Harris dress that we have brought back one more time..... It is wonderfully fitted at the top and then has a totally... outrageously... fabulous skirt!!! Petrushka's flower scarf and two of her sequined flower garland necklaces make sure no one will be a wall flower wearing this.....

Catherine Bacon's "butterfly" tops are becoming legendary. Now.... I should have figured this out years ago, but Catherine actually had to tell me (.... and this is .... embarrassing!!!) each "butterfly" has two distinct sides and can be worn with either in front. If you would like to see the more dramatic side of this one (with a lot of the fire red color in the front), go to my Facebook page. Just go to the website and click the Facebook icon under the picture of the store. You can do it..... The necklaces are by Catherine's friend, Susan Green.....

Then we have a gorgeous new skirt from Catherine.... this one in black with a shimmering skyline of the city (you decide which!!) with a huge silk flower at the hem. I almost always wear my Catherine skirt pulled up as a short dress.... perfect for that holiday cocktail party or that spring wedding.....

Our Woof and Poof holiday fairies are all dressed up waiting for an invitation.....

NOW.... we can go to the Krista black and brown.....

I had too much fun putting these outfits together and did not seem to know when to stop......

The check silk taffeta Cotton Ball Skirt is just too good!!!! We show it here with a stripe organza Short Wavey Slip, a mum printed taffeta Cyclone Cami and Diana Frey's Marie Antoinette necklace with lots of wonderful black beads and a black cameo.

A fancy vintage pin by Petrushka accents the check silk taffeta Smashed Cami that tops our rich vanilla-colored thready organza Cyclone Cami and striped taffeta Origami Pants....

Our yummy velvet Bakery Slip gets a layer of frothy cream striped organza in a Short Wavey Slip, and then is finished with a silk and velvet Cookie Cami. (This sounds good enough to eat!!!) The necklace is Diana Frey's "Pin Cushion Doll".....

"Her Royal Majesty".... again by Diana Frey...... is the perfect complement to this striped taffeta Emma Jacket that is worn over a mum print taffeta Short Wavey Slip and a plaid cotton Bakery Slip......

Krista's new brown and black plaid cotton inspired me to combine the brown and black into what I think are some pretty cute combinations.....

The vintage look of the star paisley fabric in this Coquette Slip plays nicely with the striped organza Short Wavey Slip and the whimsical dot of the Eyelash Jacket. All of the tiny keys and the cherub that accent the "Antique Key" necklace complete the look....

I ADORE the Victorian coin purse that is the focus of this Diana Frey necklace that we have put with a rich espresso silk organza Sweet Pea Cami and plaid cotton Voyager Pants!!!!!!!!!

Diana's necklaces are one-of-a-kind treasures to collect and to WEAR!!!!! Her "heart box" necklaces are ever so special.....

My liking anything plaid is a very big deal..... anyone who went through twelve years of Catholic school will attest to that.... but his really is a plaid to love, and I have ordered a LOT more of it that is still to come. Those of you who missed out on the Short Wavey Slip last time.... I have covered all of the special orders and added three more for stock!!!!

The plaid Picket Fence Shirt is perfect with our Voyager Pant... no?? The felted dog pin is by British artist Amanda Bates.... who now lives in France...

Pinwheel anything is a winner..... Here we have the Pinwheel Shirt in cotton flannel (nice and cozy for the winter) teamed up with our linen Spring Pant. Vivena's flower garland necklace comes in different colors.....

Amazing how spelling deteriorates after a second cocktail.... (not much of a drinker, so I have to type faster!!!!).

For casual days, Nancy Lucia's little shoulder pouch bags with lots of pockets are the perfect accessory. These are nice little Italian leather bags that are detailed in New York with a variety of fun photographs. We are really happy to have some new images!!!! We have all of the ones shown here, and we will have re-orders of Cable Cars, Wine Country, and Kosher Pizza..... which all sold out on Facebook....

New shirts are here from ItemZ!!!!! One can never have enough white shirts, and you will definitely want one of these.... a fabulous new stretch fabric with an elegantly woven stripe. We have both the Panel Shirt and our best selling EVER Vent Shirt. Both shirts are also available in black with dramatic white striping....

Lastly, we have just gotten in a reorder of the Carga wool felt bags from Argentina!!!! Most people have only seen these on the internet and are pretty excited to see them for real. Last month, Val Kilmer's personal assistant called us looking for a special Carga bag that Val wanted to carry on the promotional tour of his new movie!!!! Of course, it was the only bag that we did not have in stock at the time. The bags are all heavy-weight wool with leather accents and straps, and they are all put together with metal grommets (no sewing!!!). We have them in all sizes from miniscule to huge...... They are the perfect unisex bags to carry anywhere...... Just ask Siga.... he has a whole collection!!!

We are all ready for the holidays with just about everything you can imagine.... with more stuff coming all the time. We hope that we are going to get to see you sometime soon..... or hear from you....

We have presents for just about everybody and are happy to fancy wrap your packages.....

If, in the middle of all this, you want to take a breather and pamper yourself with a day or two off..... I would go to my friend Barbara's Oak Knoll Inn in Napa Valley. The Inn is situated among the Napa vineyards, and the rooms are so wonderful that I personally would just like to hibernate there for a day or two and enjoy Barb's fabulous breakfasts (that ALWAYS start with something chocolate!!!). However..... Barbara and her husband John know just about everything and everyone that has anything to do with wine and cheese and art and anything else that is worth enjoying, so they can plan amazing outings for you..... We are selling autographed copies of "Chocolate for Breakfast".... a collection of savory as well as chocolate recipes you will want to make again and again.... Barbara's first book...

AND.... my friend Leagrey will be re-opening Thidwick Books at the beginning of January. This is a REAL bookstore that sells REAL books. I love to peruse her eclectic collection.... as well as her carefully chosen cards and gifts..... The new store will be at either 1134 or 1136 Clement Street (sorry.... can't remember the exact number). I can't wait.....

You cannot PAY to advertise here.... these are my personal favorite things....

So .... Siga and I are looking forward to the holidays and YOU!!!!

CELEBRATE with those you love...
