Well, it is that time already... Siga and I want to wish all of you a most happy Thanksgiving!!! We are certainly looking forward to it...a nice relaxing day (except for the cooking part!) to reflect on all of the good things and people in our lives....blessings that we appreciate even more when times are troubled than we do when the good times roll. You get to be included in that.......THANK YOU!!!
We are happily breathing a sigh of relief that almost all of our orders (but only ALMOST) have now arrived, and we hope we are finished "making room" for new stuff!!! After this we have the challenge of spreading it all back out......
Actually, yesterday we had some shelves installed behind our desks because we just received a shipment of Ida Rak's fabulous PAPER shoes and purses. I adore these sculptures by an artist whose pieces have been featured in the Tel Aviv museum.....they are bright and cheerful and make you happy just to look at them. They just sort of lived all over the gallery because we didn't have any room for them, and they really all need to be together like in a shoe store to be really appreciated. I mention that these are paper only because a couple of people have gotten really peeved at me because I told them that NO, they cannot wear the FB Fogg "crow's feet" shoes "even for a few minutes!!!".......guess I shouldn't have put them in the window with a Ray Harris dress??????
Almost everything we have gotten in this week is just PRETTY!!!.....
You remember how much we loved the new green flowers on Giselle Shepatin's newest work??? Well, when we love something......here are those gorgeous flowers on her wool cropped jacket and on a long velvet scarf!!! We have also gotten a reorder of her long godet vest with LOTS of flowers (as in the Way Early November Newsletter).
Our next pretty is Catherine Bacon's taffeta flower skirt in all black. This fabric comes from Japan , and we love the way the "pleated" top of the skirt stretches. It can be worn as an obviously beautiful skirt, OR it can be pulled up and worn as a sexy short cocktail dress......
I really enjoyed making a couple of new outfits from our Krista Larson reorder that arrived this week! From our fabulous selection of black, we are featuring a dramatic sheer cotton organdy Extreme Spring Slip layered with a silk velvet Short Rockafeller Slip and topped with a linen/cotton/metal Soutache Jacket.....STUNNING??? Love to layer.....sage offers a variety of fabrics.....starting with a sage plaid cotton Tornado Skirt...then adding a medium polka dot cotton Short Wavey Slip...a soutache embroidered silk organza Short Wavey Slip...a striped silk taffeta Bakery Cami...and a Stretch Tulle Tee to pull it all together. As an accessory, we are featuring one of our many new necklaces from Teresa Goodall.
I guess you got that we have a great selection of Teresa Goodall necklaces????
From "pretty", we graduate to "fun and funky" with these reversible messenger bags and clutches. Each bag turns into a different pattern on the other side.....different color and different motif. We have left them all on the side that we like best, because that's what most of us do. (Do we ever wear that 6-way bathing suit any other than one way???) They are sturdy vinyl with convenient pockets....form AND function!!!
This next week we are expecting more necklaces and some new bracelets from Gillian Julius, and more dog pins (and one cat) are on their way from France.
......and then there's all the other stuff.....
Those of you who have been here know that it is always out of control....and that's the way we like it.......!
