It is spring now so.........
YES!!!!!!! We have color.........
In spite of the fact that we adore almost anything black .....love those muddy tones......like lots of white......we finally are bringing you some COLOR!!!!!!!!!!
Blanque's linen jackets in red and palm are the perfect punch of color to accent .....guess what?.....their black linen pants. The Victoria Jacket has a dramatic black button closing and is the "city smart" jacket of the season. We have paired it with either our much-loved Bell Pant, or with the new Malibu Pant, which is either a skirt with legs or a very full short pant with a drawstring hem that invites creative play. Don't even THINK of calling it a "skort"!!! You will also notice three pants in a row on our sketch page under the linen drawings.......by popular demand, we have brought in your favorite three styles of black crinkle: the Marbella Pant with its row of buttons on the side of the leg, the Bell Pant (which needs no explanation!), and the Double Zip Pant with its deep zippered pockets. What we have is what there will be for the rest of the season, so if you need to replace or just have a new crinkle pant, be sure to let us know early.....
More and more of you are becoming fans of Ray Harris. Well, he makes all of his crinkled polys in about thirty colors, and we have brought in some of the brighter ones in a tank top and also in his long sleeve turtle neck. These tops are perfect under almost any jacket, they roll up into a tiny space for travel, and they are washable!!! Through the season we will also be getting jackets in some of the brighter colors. Many of you have special events coming up in the summer....or later. We are happy to work on special orders if you would like to have specific styles of dresses or jackets and skirts, or whatever, in colors of your choosing. We only need to have eight weeks time so that Ray will not end up hating me!!!!! We love hearing about all of the compliments our clients receive on the Ray outfits that they wear for social occasions!!!!!!!!
Barbara deJounge's big polka dot sundresses have been all about color....well, now we also have them in this great black and white diagonal stripe!!! This is a wonderfully floaty, dramatic dress. It works well with any short cardigan...black or a bright color or even a polka dot.....
....and then there are the accessories......
With the Ray Harris crinkled top and the Katherine Tilton vest you are seeing a piece from our Teresa Goodall collection. Yes we love the look of her monochromatic beads with their long hanging strings, but we also have some of her very dramatic pieces that feature loads of color. These are limited edition necklaces that make a major statement however you wear them!!!!!!
With Barbara's striped dress you are seeing a new piece from Stickball. Diana Taylor has moved to Arkansas , but she is bringing wonderful things with her when she comes to visit. AND now she is offering her fabulously whimsical necklaces at what she calls " Arkansas prices"..........more are on the way soon!
More color.....the Bella Accessories bright papier maché beads are accented with a center bead that is a hand-blown textured glass ball. I actually bought them to go with the upcoming Kedem Sasson knit collection. (So now you know that even more color is imminent....) We still like other stuff too.....like the reversible short necklace that is flowers on one side and fortune cookies on the other.....
Glitterlimes pins and bracelets are always as colorful as the fruit from which they are produced. We have the full selection of stemmed and citrus fruits. These are the perfect summer accessory!
On the harder/softer side we have metal mesh......
Bo's Art bags are back with lots of new styles and patterns in all different shapes and sizes. These pieces are all individually hand crafted in Southern California . Each bag comes with a shoulder strap to convert it from a clutch when you are just having too much fun to bother having to hold a purse.....
We are bringing you our first mesh bag of the season from Sarah Cavender too.......we are showing it with a jacket and skirt from German designer Jutta Nordheim. Are we having fun yet......???
Sarah Cavender works with all sorts of metal mesh. What sets her jewelry apart is her technique of applying color to the metal. The colors range from delicate to dramatic as you are seeing in the different styles of necklaces that we just received. Her jewelry is the perfect accent to so many of our collections, especially Krista Larson and Robin Kaplan, but also with certain styles of Ray Harris and Giselle Shepatin and Catherine Bacon.
Black and white or tons of color.....our collection of Sox Trot knee-his have something for everyone. We are up to about forty different patterns now...

You all know that I am a junkie for paper. Well I am also slightly addicted to.....would you believe.....dishtowels??? After dinner last night, my friend Jacque and I went to play in Anthropology for a while. We actually talked about how either one of us would be happy just living in there. It was during this excursion that Jacque pointed out that I always zero in on.... the dishtowels. Maybe that is why we just got in about a hundred or more new ones from France !!!!!!!!!! There are many, MANY new patterns and colors in the Garnier Theibaut collection that we have sold for years now. They are wonderful to own and make fabulous gifts.
So....that's what's happening for now.
